Lunch Room Parents Needed – The weather is getting nicer and we would like to be able to take the lower floor children outside during their lunchtime. To do this we need more lunch help. Just a reminder…Children there is no trading, selling or sharing food allowed at lunchtime. Parents the ONLY food the children should eat is the food provided by their parents. All treats should be approved by their teacher or Mrs. Meisten. This is for safety reasons, a number of children have food allergies.
Mrs. Moyer - Our four year old nursery teacher, Mrs. Eileen Moyer will be retiring after 34 years of service. We will be giving thanks to God for her and her years of devoted service on Sunday, May 18 at the 10:15 a.m. service. Mrs. Moyer has touched the lives of over one thousand children during her time at Zion. Let’s show her how much we love her. We are encouraging all of Eileen’s former students to attend. Specifically we have invited the families of her current and past eight classes to be here. There will be a cake and punch reception in the undercroft following the service. A “cash purse” collection is underway. If you wish to donate, please send your gift to Zion Lutheran Church (indicate that this is a gift for Mrs. Moyer).
