Happy Lutheran Schools Week!
Chapel – will be on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 8:30am in the church. Family and friends are always welcome to worship with us. In the event of inclement weather, chapel will be held in the school gym.
Thank You – The entire faculty and staff of the Nursery School and Day School would like to thank the parents and students who provided the special lunch for Lutheran Schools Week. We all enjoyed a delicious meal and appreciated you thinking of us! You are the people that make Zion so special!
Thank You – to all who attended the Lutheran Schools Sunday church service and our Annual Pancake Breakfast. Thank you to all who helped – set-up, cooking, serving, baking & clean-up! It is wonderful to see so many school families! Thanks to everyone for participating in all of our Lutheran Schools Week in-school activities!
Beefsteak Dinner – Get your tickets now! We have already sold 108 tickets! Our Annual Beefsteak Dinner and Auction is on April 24th. This is our school’s biggest fundraiser of the year! Tickets are now on sale in the school office. The price is $35 per ticket. We are also in need of items to be donated for our live auction and tricky tray. Your donations are tax deductible and you will receive a letter/receipt for all items donated. Please call the school office if you have any questions.
Daylight Savings Time – Don’t forget! Set your clocks AHEAD one hour tomorrow night before you go to bed.
Wearing Of The Green Day – The Student Government will be having a Wearing of the Green Day on Wednesday, March 17th. It will cost $1. You must wear green if you are going to participate.
N.U.T. Day – We will be having a N.U.T. day on Thursday, March 18th to help the earthquake victims in Haiti. The money we raise will go to Lutheran World Relief and be designated for the earthquake victims. Tickets are $1.00 and will be on sale by the Munsch-kins & Mini-Munschkins Tuesday, March 16th to Thursday, March 18th. Thank you for your support.
Spelling Bee – Mrs. Munsch is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s Spelling Bee. Congratulations to sixth grader Sebastian Pierre who was this year’s grand prize winner! Congratulations to everyone who participated. Here is a list of our participants listed in order of their rank. We are proud of everyone. Thanks also to our wonderful judges, Senora Quillio and Mrs. Leibesberger. Remember to be as busy as bees, praising the Lord!

Chess Club – will be meeting twice a month. The next meeting is on Monday, March 22nd.

3:00 – 3:45pm in Mrs. Walz’s room.
Signing Club – will meet on Wednesday, March 17th from 3:00 – 3:45pm in Mrs. Walz’s room.
Touring Handbells – will meet on Thursday, March 18th from 3:00 – 4:15pm in the band room.
KFC Lunch – The 8th grade is sponsoring a KFC Lunch on Wednesday, March 17th. Please see attached order form. Note – the form and money are due by Tuesday, March 16th.
Ziti Lunch – The School Board is sponsoring a Ziti Lunch on Thursday, March 18th. Please see attached order form. Note – the form and money are due by Tuesday, March 16th.
Pizza Lunch – The 8th grade is sponsoring a Pizza Lunch on Friday, March 19th. The price is $1.50 per slice. Please send money in a labeled envelope by Tuesday, March 16th.
Hot Dog Lunch – The School Board is sponsoring a Hot Dog Lunch on Monday, March 22nd. Please see attached order form. Note – the form and money are due by Thursday, March 18th.
Manna – (GIFT CARDS) for Shop Rite, Kings and A&P can be purchased in the school office Monday through Friday during school hours. Remember certificates are at FACE VALUE so there is no extra cost to you.

General Mills Box Tops – Remember to collect box tops. Bring them to school and put them in the box outside the office.
Campbell Soup Labels – are collected by our school. Please bring in the UPC bar code part only and put them in the container outside the school office.
Tyson Project A+ Labels – are collected by our school. Please bring in the appropriate portion of the label and put them in the “chicken” container outside the school office.
